Nurgle Warband Name Generator

Need a good name for your Death Guard Army, Kill Team, or Nurgle Warband? Following the positive feedback we received on our original Space Marine Chapter Name Generator, we decided to expand and create a warband name generator for followers of Grandfather Nurgle.

Packed full of suitably putrid and disgusting combinations, our Nurgle Warband name generator should allow you to come up with a good name for your disease ridden followers of the Grandfather. Giving them a fitting name that will strike fear in the hearts of your enemies

Whether you are running a Death Guard force for Warhammer 40k, Kill Team or need a name for your Nurgle Age of Sigmar warband or indeed any other group that worships the lord of decay, then this is for you!

Share your New Warband Name with us

We’re always interested to hear what people got and what they thought of the names that were generated. Share your best results with us in the comments below or tell us a little more about your newly named Nurgle Warband. Such as who they are, what are their motivations and what drives them ever onward?

The Cursed Monarchy. They were caught in a crossfire between the other death guard and the imperium and their world was destroyed. All of the citizens of their planet became poxwalkers and they are cursed to rule over the ruins of their kingdom.

      The knights of decay

Originally named the knights of Ostarious, the name of the world they protected, the once proud sons of Dorn now serve nurgle after their world was abandoned too a Death Guard warband after they refused to accept primaris marines into their chapter.

Now they have begun their Crusade of Retribution against the world the Indominus Crusade had saved, to spite Roubute Guilliman and let him know Ostarious lives on in a undead fashion, and will remind him of his betrayal, one plague ridden world at a time.

The Chosen of Goulvax. We serve the Chaos Lord Plagatus Goulvax. We are legion. We are death. Pit your paltry weapons against us, and see how weak you truly are. Lord Goulvax serves Nurgle, and we serve Goulvax. We are immortal, for until we have completed our masters aims, our duty is incomplete.

Forsaken Host – When the Death Guard fled to the Eye of Terror following the defeat of Horus, a warp storm sent the battleship named “The Dread Scythe” was thrown off course. The ship disappeared and was not seen for over a thousand years.

It has appeared time and again, all over the galaxy in no apparent pattern, and yet with each appearance, a planet dies. Not all of the planets targeted are Imperial. Some are Ork, others Tau or Eldar. Even other chaos held worlds, including Death Guard, are attacked. Unconfirmed reports suggest an assault against a Tyranid splinter fleet took place.

The Forsaken Host have a horrifying plan and only time will tell what putrid fruit it will bring.

a renegade faction founded during the 21st founding.
a successer chapter of the ultramarines before they fell. fleet based, and rarely talk.
they spit disease instead of acid, and have excellent marksmanship.
they only kill those who oppose them

“come to us, those who were cursed and abandoned. those banished from the fold of acceptance, for we were once there also. come to us, and share our curse, for we did not choose our descent into chaos. we cried out for acceptance, and the imperium did not care. the only one who cared was chaos. so come, those seeking acceptance, and you will be welcomed.”

Blind Heralds- “Though our eyes have rot, our sight is boundless; Though our ears of corroded, we yet still hear the whispers; There is no respite even unto death. Our sigil shall be worn unto the very universe it’s self. Our taint ever lasting, our sickness your disease; embrace these gifts we give freely and tear the veil from your eyes, for do you not see? We are Inevitable.” Rotgut Salazar chaos lord or the Blind Heralds

I’m actually using these for my Squads!

The Blessed Kin: The most heavily mutated of the Plague Marines, and melee focused, some of them have even lost the capacity for speech, so blessed and favoured are they.
Nurgle’s Blades: Young and fresh Plague Marines recruits that have not yet worked out their aggression, and therefor are given to advance towards the enemy, plague knives drawn.
Baltanok’s Fury: This one I made up myself, they are a ranged squad that carries 3 plasma guns. (Baltanok is my Lord of Contagion)
Rainmakers: I also made this one up, it’s another ranged support squad, and armed with Blight Launchers, therefore making it rain 😉 What the rain is… best not to ask.
